Set beneath the magnificent Malvern Hills, Hanley Swan is a village full of charm. Visitors are greeted by its picturesque pond, complete with its well-loved duck houses, a thriving village shop, and a warm and welcoming pub, The Swan, popular for its great food and friendly atmosphere, with alfresco dining at the heart of village life. At the centre of the village green stands a magnificent Royal Oak which was planted in 1863 to mark the marriage of the future Prince of Wales to Princess Alexandra of Denmark, so it has sat in this village for over 150 years.
Hanley Swan Open Gardens has been a cherished fixture in the village calendar for many years. In 2026, the baton has passed to a new and enthusiastic group of village gardeners, who are proud to continue the tradition while raising valuable funds for the local community.

Admission
£7.50 per person
Tickets are valid for all three days. Please bring your map and sticker if returning another day over the weekend.
Children have FREE admission
Well behaved dogs are welcome
Purchase your tickets at any participating garden and some gardens will offer credit card payment.
Refreshments and toilets
The Village Hall will serve refreshments throughout the weekend, offering light lunches, cake and cream teas
Cream teas will be served at St Gabriel’s Church
Parking
Parking and Toilets are available at the Village Hall and St Gabriel’s Church.
If travelling from the north on Worcester Road, you can park outside Garden 1 – Orchard Side, where tickets can be purchased with cash or card and from there you can visit gardens 2 and 3, before heading off to park at the church or village hall.
If driving to Gilberts End or Picken End, please park considerately and there is a footpath that links Roberts End, Picken End and Gilberts End for those exploring on foot.
Please note that Garden 16 – The Threshing Barn, is about 1 mile beyond the crossroads outside the village. As there is no footpath beyond the village signs, we recommend driving there where parking is available.
